Road Machinery & Supplies Co. (RMS) is pleased to announce the company has been named the exclusive dealer for Gradall Industries for the mine scaling, metal mill maintenance, contractor, and municipal markets in Minnesota and Iowa, not including 13 counties in southwest Iowa. This agreement aligns with the company’s strategy of expanding our sales and support capabilities to these markets. Our corporate office wrapped up another successful year of fundraising for the Greater Twin Cities United Way. The week-long fundraising event held late fall consisted of a silent auction, cook-offs and competitions all designed to maximize donations to the local charity. Penny Wars generated a great deal of cash and excitement leaving our CFO Troy Johnson with a pie in the face. Thanks for being a good sport for a worthy cause, Troy! RMS recently delivered a Komatsu PC7000-6 hydraulic excavator to one of our taconite mining customers in Northern Minnesota. The machine weighs 1,530,300 Ibs, features a 46-cubic yard bucket and is powered by Cummins 1,675 HP twin engines. The machine was delivered in 34 semi-truck loads (3 of these being super loads).
