Heavy Equipment Adventure

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. hosted a Heavy Equipment Adventure at Extreme Sandbox in Hastings, MN. The event, organized by NDSCS, gave Twin Cities metro high school students information about careers in diesel technology. During the event, students engaged in hands-on activities, spoke with RMS technicians and operated Komatsu excavators and dozers. RMS representatives were on site to answer questions about the industry, career opportunities, and the Komatsu Diesel Technology Program offered through the North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS). This fast-paced program combines state-of-the-art, on-campus training with 24 weeks of paid internships at a sponsoring Komatsu dealership. Students receive technical training on Komatsu equipment through a combination of classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction. Each sponsored student has guaranteed job placement and can earn up to 100% of tuition and fees reimbursed over the first three years of employment. LEARN MO

RMS Receives the Rocky Award at KPI-JCI National Dealer Conference

Expanding Operations in New Bondurant, Iowa Facility

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. (RMS) announced plans to build a new, state-of-the-art branch in Bondurant, Iowa. The facility will handle parts, sales, service and rental operations for customers in the Des Moines area and much of central Iowa. “We are excited about this expansion, which will allow us to better serve our customers in Des Moines and surrounding areas,” said RMS CEO Mike Sill II. The 25,000-square-foot building will feature 10 service bays, including an oversized bay to accommodate large aggregate equipment as well as work space for the branch’s 35 employees. It will be situated on 14 acres near the intersection of Franklin Road and U.S. Highway 65 and replace RMS’ existing Des Moines location on Sheridan Ave. The move is in anticipation of the significant growth projected in the area in the coming years. “This facility will provide the infrastructure necessary to achieve our business objectives while offering new and exciting opportunities for existi
