A dozen riders from RMS signed up for this year’s 150-mile ride from Proctor to White Bear Lake. Buses hauled 3,500 participants from White Bear Lake to Proctor on Friday June 9. On Saturday, riders biked 75 miles to Hinckley into head winds reaching 25MPH. On Sunday, the 75 mile home stretch included rain and hail making sure participants wouldn't forget this year’s ride. It was all worth the effort as this event raised over 3 million dollars to support research to cure Multiple sclerosis (MS).  

RMS recently delivered a new Komatsu 830E-1AC 240 ton capacity truck as part of a package of trucks to one of our Iron Mining customers in Northern Minnesota. This truck weighs 362,000 Ibs., has a 2,500 HP engine powering a generator that powers AC electric drive motors at the wheel, and arrived in 10 truck loads. This truck was erected onsite by a crew of half a dozen working for almost 3 weeks to assemble and pre-deliver this behemoth!

We are proud to announce that we have three additions to our team of technicians.   Dylan Nelson and Theron Miller graduated from North Dakota State School of Science, May 12th, with an Associate in Applied Science degree. Their focus was Diesel Technology with an emphasis on Komatsu. Dylan and Theron started full time at our Savage, MN branch. Brian Burdine recently graduated from Dakota County Technical College with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Heavy Construction Equipment Technologies. Brian is working full time as a Shop Technician at our RMS Rentals branch. On March 23, RMS hosted a well-attended iMC Demo Day at Extreme Sandbox in Hastings, MN. Thank you to the 65 customers from 18 companies who attended!
