RMS Tritec hosts inaugural Lunch and Learn



Earlier this month RMS Tritec put on its first Lunch and Learn in Hibbing, Minn., for customers to showcase its partnership with Hardox®. Nearly 40 customers and team members participated in the event and worked with RMS Tritec and Hardox® sales and engineering experts to learn about the grade-wear products available and familiarize themselves with the resources they have available as customers.

“This was a great collaboration between SSAB Hardox® and RMS Tritec. Our goal was to demonstrate that we offer solutions, not a commodity, and we want to be part of their process early in the design and selection phase,” said RMS Tritec General Manager Chad Buus. “A secondary benefit was to introduce the RMS Tritec team to the Hardox® sales and engineering support staff to ensure we are familiar with - and utilize - the resources we have as the only Hardox® Wearparts Center in Minnesota.”

In addition to the information sessions, attendees were treated to a catered lunch from Sammy’s Pizza and wrapped up the day with axe throwing at Iron House, prizes, and an optional mine site tour at Hull Rust Mine View Center in Hibbing.

“I think it opened some eyes with the product offering and the level of engineering support we have available from the mill,” said Buus.  “This is something that we would like to do on an annual basis moving forward.”

RMS Broadens Management Team

In order to better manage its growth, RMS recently announced several changes to its management team, highlighted by the additions of President Russell Sheaffer and Chief Financial Officer Troy Johnson. "We are very excited to welcome Russell and Troy into our family," said Mike Sill.     Starting a construction company requires a lot of things. Usually, one of the main components is a number of years in the industry. Iowa Earth Works (IEW) Owner Joe Jensen didn’t have that.
