  Road Machinery & Supplies Co. held an open house for its new Rochester branch location in Byron, Minn., on Wednesday, Oct. 4. Rochester branch now open

  Road Machinery & Supplies Co. opened the doors to its ninth branch location in August as it held an official ribbon cutting for the new Rochester facility in Byron, Minn. Approximately 50 RMS employees, Byron business owners, and local politicians — including Minnesota State Senator Carla Nelson (24, R) — were in attendance.  WATCH VIDEO HERE “We had a really good turnout for this ceremony,” said RMS CEO Mike Sill II. “The city of Byron has been fabulous throughout this whole process, and it was great to see so many Chamber of Commerce members out for this. We also had representatives from our builder, AB Systems, DeCook Excavating, and some local politicians as well. Lance Arnett joins Road Machinery & Supplies Co. as Vice President, Product Support

  Road Machinery & Supplies Co. (RMS) has hired Lance Arnett to the newly created role of Vice President, Product Support. Arnett comes to RMS from Power Solutions International where he was CEO. In this role he will focus on customer support services for RMS, including parts, service, technical support, and training functions.   “RMS is an organization that carries with it a strong, ethical reputation and phenomenal brand representation in the products they sell, service, and lease. RMS hosts training at Extreme Sandbox

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. hosted a technology training for customers at Extreme Sandbox in Hastings, Minn., in March. Nearly 20 attendees got training on Topcon base and rovers and Komatsu's intelligent Machine Control - the industry's first integrated GPS system with semi-machine automation.  "This was a great event because we were able to really get hands-on and demonstrate what this technology can do," said Marketing Manager Josh Sandin. "With the release of Komatsu's iMC 2.0 recently and the Smart Construction suite it debuted at CONEXPO this year, there are a lot of new features that will improve efficiency for users. Trainings like this are obviously great for customers that are new to the technology, but they are even beneficial for those users who have experience with it. Astec Industries Debuts RX-405 Cold Planer at CONEXPO 2023

      Astec Industries debuted its newest asphalt cold planer at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas, Nevada. The versatile RX-405 milling machine is ideal for contractors who need a smaller cold planer that offers versatility and flexibility in a variety of applications. With the addition of the RX-405, Astec’s mills now range from 2 feet to 13 feet in cut width.    Kyle Neisen, product director for Astec, says, “We're excited to offer the RX-405 so that all contractors can benefit from the Astec lineup. Russell Sheaffer named AED Board Director at Large

Baker Enterprises Inc. uses GOMACO GT3600 Extreme curb paver for unique trail

    Walking, hiking and other recreational trails are common projects for most paving companies. However, every so often an opportunity comes along that stands out. That’s exactly how Baker Enterprises Inc. ended up constructing Nathan’s Mile, a 2-mile trail around a cornfield in Vinton, Iowa.   VIDEO: Baker Enterprises uses GOMACO GT3600 Extreme curb machine for unique glow-in-the-dark walking trail   While the initial description didn’t seem very unique, there was one element that was — the trail was intended to glow in the dark.
