RMS Broadens Management Team

In order to better manage its growth, RMS recently announced several changes to its management team, highlighted by the additions of President Russell Sheaffer and Chief Financial Officer Troy Johnson. "We are very excited to welcome Russell and Troy into our family," said Mike Sill. "Both bring a wealth of experience with them, and I am confident that they will help us continue to grow and serve our customers."

Road Machinery & Supplies Co, also promoted three managers to Vice President: Chuck Gallagher, Vice President Southern Operations; Jon Anderson, Vice President Northern Operations; Andy Schwandt, Vice President Sales Manager. Additionally, longtime Chief Operating Officer Dave Johnson will move to a sales-focused role as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. 


Mike Sill will continue to lead the company as Chief Executive Officer and will focus on strategic and business development opportunities. "We have a great team here," said Sill. "I am confident these moves will enhance our ability to take great care of our customer and supplier relationships and will continue to move RMS forward in the coming years."

RMS Delivers PC7000 Komatsu Excavator

RMS recently delivered a Komatsu PC7000-6 hydraulic excavator to one of our taconite mining customers in Northern Minnesota. The machine weighs 1,530,300 Ibs, features a 46-cubic yard bucket and is powered by Cummins 1,675 HP twin engines. The machine was delivered in 34 semi-truck loads (3 of these being super loads). Ben Schmidtlein promoted to Vice President of Aggregate

    Ben Schmidtlein has been named Vice President of Aggregate for Road Machinery & Supplies Co. Schmidtlein joined the company in early 2020 and has been instrumental in guiding nearly four years of steady, substantial growth in aggregate sales and support for Road Machinery & Supplies Co.   Under Ben’s direction, RMS has built a dedicated Aggregate Division with a focused sales and support team. In 2022, RMS purchased Pit & Quarry Supplies Co., which provides competitive aftermarket parts options for customers and added a dedicated warehouse in Savage for aggregate products.
