15th Annual Adventure Tour and Customer Appreciation Event - July 2016


For the past 15 years, RMS’ Iowa branches have held an annual Adventure Tour bike ride to thank customers for their loyalty and business. This year they added a golf outing in conjunction with the motorcycle event.  Nearly 150 people attended the two events, which culminated at Riverside Casino and Golf Resort in Riverside, Iowa.
The 15th Annual Adventure Tour took riders on a 286-mile drive that started in Prarie du Chien,
wound through the bluffs of the Mississippi and ended at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort.

RMS recently delivered a Komatsu PC7000-6 hydraulic excavator to one of our taconite mining customers in Northern Minnesota. The machine weighs 1,530,300 Ibs, features a 46-cubic yard bucket and is powered by Cummins 1,675 HP twin engines. The machine was delivered in 34 semi-truck loads (3 of these being super loads). Dan Olson joins RMS as Aggregate Division Manager

  Dan Olson has joined RMS as Aggregate Division Manager, the position previously held by current Vice President of Sales Ben Schmidtlein.   Dan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role, having spent his entire career in the construction equipment industry. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Hayden Murphy Equipment, and prior to that as General Manager for RTL Equipment where he successfully led all aspects of the business with a strong emphasis on sales and marketing. Previously, Dan was Vice President at THECO where his leadership in process improvement drove exceptional growth. RMS Broadens Management Team

In order to better manage its growth, RMS recently announced several changes to its management team, highlighted by the additions of President Russell Sheaffer and Chief Financial Officer Troy Johnson. "We are very excited to welcome Russell and Troy into our family," said Mike Sill. "Both bring a wealth of experience with them, and I am confident that they will help us continue to grow and serve our customers."
