RMS Adds Telsmith Equipment to Product Offerings

Telsmith offers a full range of material processing solutions to the aggregate, mining, industrial and recycling industries

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. (RMS) has been named the newest dealer for Telsmith and will carry its entire product line of aggregate and mining process equipment.

“Telsmith is a proven product and we are excited to be able to offer its innovative solutions to our current customers. Telsmith provides a full range of integrated processing equipment to the aggregate, mining, industrial and recycling industries. We are proud to be able to offer Telsmith and its great history of equipment and experience to RMS customers,” said RMS Aggregate Division Manager Ben Schmidtlein.

“We are very excited to have RMS expand their Astec product offering by bringing on the Telsmith line. They have been a great partner for us and we look forward to our continued success with them as a dealer,” says Darren Kirby, North America Sales Director-Central for the Material Solutions Group at Astec Industries.

The addition of the Telsmith line adds another Astec brand to RMS’ offering as it also represents KPI-JCI Astec Mobile Screens, Peterson and Roadtec.

RMS will be the primary Telsmith distributor for customers in Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska in addition to Henry, Mercer and Rock Island counties in Illinois. 

Telsmith, Inc. provides a full range of material processing solutions to the aggregate, mining, industrial and recycling industries with cone crushers, jaw crushers, vibrating equipment, portable plants and full-scale modular processing facilities.

RMS Delivers PC7000 Komatsu Excavator

RMS recently delivered a Komatsu PC7000-6 hydraulic excavator to one of our taconite mining customers in Northern Minnesota. The machine weighs 1,530,300 Ibs, features a 46-cubic yard bucket and is powered by Cummins 1,675 HP twin engines. The machine was delivered in 34 semi-truck loads (3 of these being super loads). Ben Schmidtlein promoted to Vice President of Aggregate

    Ben Schmidtlein has been named Vice President of Aggregate for Road Machinery & Supplies Co. Schmidtlein joined the company in early 2020 and has been instrumental in guiding nearly four years of steady, substantial growth in aggregate sales and support for Road Machinery & Supplies Co.   Under Ben’s direction, RMS has built a dedicated Aggregate Division with a focused sales and support team. In 2022, RMS purchased Pit & Quarry Supplies Co., which provides competitive aftermarket parts options for customers and added a dedicated warehouse in Savage for aggregate products.
