RMS Opens New Cedar Rapids Branch

Dedication to Iowa Customers Continues with Second Branch Opening of Summer Road Machinery & Supplies Co. (RMS) opened its new state-of-the-art facility at 10740 High Life Court Southwest in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The 25,000 square-foot building includes 10 drive through service bays large enough to accommodate large aggregate, mining, and construction equipment, an extensive parts warehouse, and administrative offices. The new branch replaces the company’s old location on 16th Ave SW, and all Cedar Rapids operations will move to the new facility. The project is a reflection of the importance and potential growth opportunity of the Eastern Iowa market. “We are excited about this branch because we feel that it will allow us to better serve our customers in a region that is poised for significant growth,” said Mike Sill II, Chief Executive Officer. RMS Expands Operations in Greater Des Moines

Today the company announced the opening of its newly constructed state-of-the-art sales & service facility at 3001 Oxbow Court in Bondurant. The 25,000 square-foot building includes 10 drive through service bays large enough to accommodate large aggregate, mining, and construction equipment, an extensive parts warehouse, and administrative offices. The company has vacated its former facility on Sheridan Street in Des Moines, and all twenty-nine (29) Des Moines area-based employees will work from the new Bondurant location.   Company officials believe the Greater Des Moines area will continue to see significant long-term growth and this new facility will enable them to better support that development. “We are excited to better service our customers in Des Moines and the surrounding areas,” said RMS CEO Mike Sill II. Grove Dealer for 50 Years

To mark five successful decades as a Grove dealer in Northern Minnesota, Road Machinery & Supplies Co. (RMS) joined Manitowoc staff at the manufacturer’s booth at CONEXPO 2020. RMS Building New Facility in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. (RMS) announced today that the company has begun construction of the new state-of-the-art parts, sales, service and rental operations facility that will serve the greater Cedar Rapids area. This 22,500-square foot project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2020. All current employees will transfer to the new location at that time. Conveniently located just off the I-380 corridor, the new facility will be accessible by either Wright Brothers Blvd to the north, or 120th Street to the south. The building will feature 10 service bays, including an over-sized drive through bay that will accommodate large aggregate equipment. Astec Mobile Screens Launches Ranger™ Compact Track Line

Heavy Equipment Adventure

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. hosted a Heavy Equipment Adventure at Extreme Sandbox in Hastings, MN. The event, organized by NDSCS, gave Twin Cities metro high school students information about careers in diesel technology. During the event, students engaged in hands-on activities, spoke with RMS technicians and operated Komatsu excavators and dozers. RMS representatives were on site to answer questions about the industry, career opportunities, and the Komatsu Diesel Technology Program offered through the North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS). This fast-paced program combines state-of-the-art, on-campus training with 24 weeks of paid internships at a sponsoring Komatsu dealership. Students receive technical training on Komatsu equipment through a combination of classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction.
