RMS rebrands RMS Component Rebuild Center

 


 

As part of our continued alignment across the RMS Family of Companies, the facility located at 1400 Chestnut St. W, Virginia, MN 55792, is being reintroduced as the RMS Component Rebuild Center.

This location has long supported our mining operations and has historically been referred to as Langer or Langer Equipment Company. To create greater clarity and consistency across our organization and with our customers, this facility will now operate under one unified name: RMS Component Rebuild Center

The new logo featured in the header image and will represent the business moving forward.

Overview of Services

The RMS Component Rebuild Center supports mining customers through:

  • Component exchange and rebuild programs
  • Major component overhauls and repairs
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Planned maintenance and emergency service support
  • Expertise in Komatsu haul truck components (100 - 400 ton ultra-class electric drive units)

These capabilities help extend equipment life, improve uptime, and reduce the total cost of ownership for customers.

Facility signage, marketing integration, and an online presence are currently in progress, with more updates to come.

RMS Delivers PC7000 Komatsu Excavator

RMS recently delivered a Komatsu PC7000-6 hydraulic excavator to one of our taconite mining customers in Northern Minnesota. The machine weighs 1,530,300 Ibs, features a 46-cubic yard bucket and is powered by Cummins 1,675 HP twin engines. The machine was delivered in 34 semi-truck loads (3 of these being super loads). Dan Olson joins RMS as Aggregate Division Manager

  Dan Olson has joined RMS as Aggregate Division Manager, the position previously held by current Vice President of Sales Ben Schmidtlein.   Dan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role, having spent his entire career in the construction equipment industry. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Hayden Murphy Equipment, and prior to that as General Manager for RTL Equipment where he successfully led all aspects of the business with a strong emphasis on sales and marketing. Previously, Dan was Vice President at THECO where his leadership in process improvement drove exceptional growth.
